Apparently butterscotch is boiled to soft crack state, and not hard crack as in toffee.

Rest easy kind gentlemen, she pulled through like a champ. We had to be there at 5:45 am but they probably didn't get started until 6:30. Picked up her meds, had breakfast and I'm just getting ready to walk the dogs if she gives me a thumbs up.
