Is it on games for gold or WAS it on games for gold ?
Well, it was at some point. I don't know if they remove games from the list or not. It still says free for me, but that is because they don't charge to download a game more than once, so it might not be free to everyone else anymore. I guess you'll just have to look for yourself.

I feel like I've answered this question a few times on this forum but I never get tired of repeating talk about computer games.
I like old games personally, I don't know why, often I think graphics is a distraction from game play.
Each of these gives me heavy nostalgia.
GTA 1 for the ps1. The first game I played so much on that it effected my eyes, like they would dry up from keeping them open too much without blinking. It didn't get crap when the graphics got better in the series, I think the original novelty of playing probably just got less for me.
Metal gear solid. One of the best soundtracks, best story lines, best characters, best quotes and one of the only games where I wasn't put off when the graphics got better in the series.
Command and conquer. I think it got bad after yuris revenge, I haven't really given red alert 3 much of a chance yet, maybe I should.
Baldurs gate Best RPG I've played.
Wild arms Probably the best into in any game, wish I would have played it more.
Call of duty I was going to put golden eye for the n64 for nostalgic reasons but I can't deny the obvious, call of duty is clearly the best first person shooter I've played.
Tekken Best fighting series.
Circuit breakers and Combat Cars Best racing games I played, probably no one else remembers these, I don't even really like racing games but these were interesting.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Man I just got into portal a few mints back when I bought it for my daughter on her 9th birthday. We started with 2, because that's what I could find. We blazed through the 2-player co-op, then we went through the single player and split the controller down the middle. I took the left stick and she had the right stick and face buttons. Haha It was silly and crazy hard, but we got really good at it after a short while and beat the game like that.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I'm not gonna defend the hitboxes, they can be really super jank in Dark Souls 2, but I will say they're way better in the first game. Same with the character models, though there's some pretty cool designs in the mid to late game.
Quote:And the stun locking, oh the stun locking. I realise I'm almost troll baiting here. But.
Abuse the dodge roll, and the invincibility frames therein, and the stunlocking becomes negligible.
Quote:It gave you a one on one duelling system to fight hordes of enemies, that included with the aforementioned is the only reason it was remotely challenging. That game really disappointed me.
A design problem, yes; "moar enemies!" seems to have been the standard for making things difficult in the sequel, though the first game understood that single enemy combat was its strength, and set itself up so you can bait foes one at a time.
I dunno, I'm not gonna say the sequel was improved at all, but I didn't think it was bad. Then again, Dark Souls in general is an acquired taste, and I came into the second one having already played the first to completion. There's a lot of shit it doesn't bother to teach you, so I can see where it could repel someone.

I know, right? I crushed NG+ on the original, but I still had some issues early in the sequel because I wasn't accustomed to having to fight so many mobs.

Not too fussy, I like lots of different games
Action/RPGs are probably my main genre, love Uncharted, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us. I also love sandbox games, especially Saints Row.
I love the oldschool Assassin's Creed games, but the newer ones haven't been giving me what I require if I'm honest. Story/characters are lacking. On the positive side they've really stepped up the visuals from AC3 onwards.

This was a responsible necro. This thread has had 3 iterations in the year I've been here. No reason to start over again.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
