:-(
What if Creed confesses himself a sinner and seeks his mod-Fathers' and Mothers' unrelenting willingness to forgive the broken hearted?

It's just hard for me to connect Creed, who seemed like such a cool guy, with such an enormous mishap.

Trust me - if it were something for which an un-banning could occur, it would have been a temporary ban. That's how the staff rolls. Even when bitchy people like me were on staff.
^^ This.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

No one is perfect but I prefer to leave banning up to the amateurs. Can't call our mods pro's because they aren't paid. Nonetheless, it is their call to make. If I thought the moderation here was done in a hack way I would prefer to find another forums.
I don't know why they don't tell us the specifics which made Creed's banning a permanent one but I assume it is a policy with a purpose, probably as much to protect Creed's privacy as his victim. Regardless it can't be very pleasant to ban someone we all know and like. So if they do so, it must have been consistent with the rules as they interpret them based on more evidence than the rest of us have available.
