If you live near a Muslim area in the Western world (especially the US, UK, France, Australia and Germany) watch your back.

Islamic State calls for terrorist attacks in Australia

ISLAMIC State has named Australia as one of five main targets for terrorist attacks, calling for “stab the crusader” to be a “battle cry” for its supporters around the world.

The group released the latest edition of Dabiq — its official magazine — early this morning, which featured calls for worldwide action against the “crusaders”, as it has dubbed the US-led coalition committed to tackling Islamic State through military action.

The release of the magazine followed last month’s speech by the group’s official spokesman, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, in which the first public calls for attacks in specific countries were made.

All terrorist attacks should clearly be attributable to “patrons” of Islamic State so they cannot be described by media as “random killings”, the new article said.

“It is very important that attacks take place in every country that has entered into the alliance against the Islamic State, especially the US, UK, France, Australia and Germany,” an article in the magazine said.

“Every Muslim should get out of his house, find a crusader, and kill him.

“It is important that the killing becomes attributed to patrons of the Islamic State who have obeyed its leadership ... otherwise, crusader media makes such attacks appear to be random killings.”

The article contained warnings not to include too many people in the planning of the attack, and to not over-analyse plans to the point they are aborted...
Nothing to do with Islam, of course. They just want to bring Coco Pops to the Middle East.

I'm less concerned that muslims in the UK are going to heed this call than I am that our Government will use this as an excuse to further restrict our freedoms.

I think you'll find that muslims want to restrict your freedoms to a far greater extent.

I have no doubt some will try to act on the suggestion. The vast majority won't.

Most don't even recognise ISIS as a legitimate organisation representative of their religion.

It's likely another attempt to cause dissention. Some will act on it, other groups will respond by attacking Muslims and the ISIS idiots will then go, "See we told you what these people are like - they hate us!"

Whatever the want, the ability of Muslims to restrict you freedom is close enough to zero as to make no difference, While the ability of your government to restrict your freedom in the name of keeping muslims from restricting your freedom is considerable and growing in no small part thanks to hysterics of malrastoner and his knuckle dragging ilk.

It's this kind of generalisation that's totally wrong & unhelpful in the UK. Most muslims over here want the freedoms offered by a democratic, secular and open society and don't want to curtail the freedoms of others. There are plenty of stats available to show this. That doesn't mean islam as a whole is off the hook or that the UK is completely 'safe' (as I've said before, there are a vocal minority of radical/extreme/fundamentalist muslims here, too) however the main bodies (British Council of Muslims & Islamic Society of Britain) have come out in opposition to both national and international extremism and take public steps, working with the government, to combat them.

My main concern is that the increasing marginalisation of minority groups, caused by current Conservative austerity politics, could exacerbate the problems.

The people who act on this just need to head to Syria.
