because nothing will save the Governor-General!
Gough Whitlam died today, as I type this Parliament is still in obituary mode, as MPs and Senators deliver their condolences (which began at noon) for the remainder of the sitting day.
Although his term as Prime Minster was shorter than Gillard's, he delivered meaningful change and left behind a legacy that marks him as one of our greatest ever prime ministers.
Some of the things he did were:
* He pulled us out of the Vietnamese War.
* He established diplomatic relations with China.
* He changed the voting age to 18.
He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy, will be dearly missed, and will always be remembered as one of Australia's greatest prime ministers.

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke
