If I ever get my own place I'm getting a dog. When I was growing up my neighbour had a springer spaniel and I am totally getting one, always so full of energy and happy. With big floppy ears.

If I can, I would get a goat. They are cute as hell especially when geared up with a pitchfork, more useful at keeping the religious dickheads at bay than dogs, and are vegetarians too.

This depends entirely on the religion. Muslims aren't too keen on dogs, at least not keeping them as pets, although they seem to have no problem using them to earn money by fighting them.

Edit. Dogs are my favourite type of pet, especially staffies.

Animals are pretty intuitive especially when they feel the presence of any rivals.

But I am not worried about my goat recognizing religious people, I am leaning towards them recognizing my goat with it's pitchfork attachment equipped.

I fear dogs, I've been chased three times as child and my family's dog ate what was going to be my rabbit

I've never had a pet...except a rabbit that didn't last a day (probably got eaten by a cat)
