The NSA, a U.S. agency responsible for foreign intelligence, this week said it has no record of a call to Huntsville and does not make calls to school systems.

It might just be me but it seems that someone is full of shit.

Remember, in the universe of conspiratorial paranoia, a denial with that form is conclusive evidence that the original claim is true.

It is only in the real world where the more likely alternative is that someone is full of shit.

If nothing else, it is a favor to the budding crims without the sense to not post such stuff, to point out their failing skill set and put them on the path of making a living from honest toil.

Let's weed out the dumb ones in high school, you're not doing them any favors by letting them proceed to a life of crime when they don't know the first thing about doing it correctly.

But for the record I don't agree with you. Schools are supposed to educate. If there is a harassment situation it is for law enforcement to investigate. Not a bunch of school administrators.

Absolutely not.

Schools are supposed to educate and provide a safe environment for the students, and to protect the students from bullying harassment and abuse. If a suspected criminal offence is committed then it is a matter for law enforcement, but otherwise it is a matter for the school to investigate and act upon.

I'm kinda surprised they got away with it. I've lived most my life in the deep south and as far as I can tell, damn near every politician knows that there are two things they can never question: the Bible and the NRA. For school officials to expell students over guns means something else is up and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if race was the big divider here.

I swear, if you ever want to watch the Republicans (and, consequentially, Alabama) do a complete 360 on their gun policy, just get a large enough group of disenfranchised black people to start a second amendment group to stand up to police (*Cough*Furgeson *Cough*). After all, the only people who need to worry about being persecuted by the state are the people who have never had to worry about that, right?
