Their point is (I assume) that Pascal's Wager fails as an argument for belief in God, which it does.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Riketto,
If the point of this thread was to assert that god is hypothetical, you have succeeded magnificently.

Religions have done a tremendous damage in describing God as someone who can give eternal punishment so too many people think of a nasty God.
It just doesn't make any sense.
Why an hypothetical God would create something that would end up in the sewer?
This would be a God that is not very clever but again everything is possible although i don't believe so.
So..you're just giving us your opinion of god based on "what makes sense" to you?
Well..thanks...i guess.

In that case I get to pull out my anti-god bazooka and blow the bloodthirsty cunt to wherever gods go when they die. I'll keep the teeth for a necklace, sit in "his" throne and then you can all worship me. Then I'll probably order a latte or something.
In this material world many sons killed their fathers and enjoy their father throne but how would you know if you could kill God if HYPOTHETICAL speaking would be you divine father? Can you bring a bazooka with you after your body death?
You'd have to be quite a cunt to make up hypotheticals as you go along and then suddenly bring up rational objections when other people do it. It was an anti-god bazooka. It can kill God by definition. The devil handed it to him. And God wants someone to put him out of his misery, so he doesn't defend himself.
If you don't like it when people extend the hypothetical beyond what's contained in the OP, you should refrain from doing it yourself.

Is this so hard to understand?
That's the essence of Pascal's Wager (ie, what if you were wrong about god).
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Especially if his responses to our responses are just more apologetics. We could've started there.
They're not even more aplogetics. They're more hypotheticals.
