Okay yes I am aware that truthfully old English is properly called Anglo-Saxon and is the language of both Beowulf and the Anglo-Saxon chronicles. When I said ye olde I was simply trying to invoke a image of Shakespearan writing. In fact people never really talked the way that Shakespeare wrote.

I did use the word "Anglefolc" in my first response. Check it out.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

By the way, I recently saw a highly interesting documentary by some linguists and shakespearean actors, who demonstrated how the plays sounded in shakespeare's own pronunciation. Many things made more sense (e.g. would rhyme, when the standard pronunciation would not).
