I have to say, I don't like the sound of that.

Is it a POE? Or for reals?
Most likely for real. The American right wingnuts like to compare everything they don't like to Hitler. Common education standards? Hitler. Promoting contraception and abortion rights? Hitler. Pro-gay marriage? Hitler. Not giving special exemptions to common laws due to simply having a "religious belief"? Hitler.
Hell, it's almost like they don't even know he was a Christian too.
In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.

Because he was a christian. Kindred spirits...
Oh yes, and one church even put up one of his quotes to advertise family values.
Actually if you gave any thought to what the bilboard is doing it is illustrating the very point i made. It is showing the division between state sponcered indoctrination and the proverb that has parents taking responsiablity for their own children. While Hitler took children from their parents and educated them on his philopphies and propaganda, The Bible verse is telling us if we take the same time Hitler wants and put in an equal effort our child's values will not depart from our own.
But, I guess by the amount of kudos you are getting it seems many on this forum are already considered to be wards of the state. At least their thoughts belong to the state.

No shit, Drips. But comparing any sort of State function to Hitler is something beneath even the most feverish paranoid fanatics. It's even beneath you, so don't bother trying to make that false equivalence.
Not any state function FF, Look at what I said concern the bilboard. The state function is for the control of the minds of our children. Any time the state takes complete control of education, they wander into Hitler's realm like it or not.

Future of Christianity in US

Why is it assumed that as education increases, Christianity will decrease? That the population of Christians is less intelligent that atheists? Are there not dumb Christians and dumb atheists? As education increases, intolerance will decrease. Fundamentalism will decrease, yes.... and thoughtlessness will decrease. But do increased critical thinking skills lead to a choice against Christianity? What percentage of scientists in the US are Christians? Are the Christian ones dumber than the atheist ones?

Personally I don't think theists are generally dumber than atheists. I would say, in many cases, they're less educated or, more accurately, more ignorant of scientific principles.
I prefer to judge people on their own merits, since I've encountered both very smart theists and very dumb atheists. So I won't generalise when I can avoid it.
Except for creationists. They're just dumb as fuck.

Rexbeccarox and Beccs: It's a good article... I see it points out a slight correlation between IQ and believers. IQ is one measure of being smart. I have heard some arguments from creationists that don't sound intelligent. The Young Earth ones have a particularly difficult time making a convincing argument and appear not to value science very well. This is true. I have also heard some pretty intelligent creationists, for example, like those associated with an organization called Reasons to Believe. I think those scientists are good scientists and very intelligent. Creationists is a large category... just like Christians.... or Muslims.

Just for fun, I checked out those Reasons to Believe fellows. Surprise surprise, I found roughly the same statement of faith I find on every creationist site: Scroll down past the "meet our team" link. They presuppose the correctness of the bible before they make their conclusions. That's literally the opposite of what science is for, what scientists do, and in fact, what intelligent people do.
I'm not saying this to imply anything about the intelligence of christians, just to highlight a common creationist tactic that should change your views on this particular group. You can't make a presupposition and still be intellectually honest or scientifically minded; christians might not be less intelligent on average, but they do seem more amenable to intellectually dishonest practices like this one.
