You agree then that 10 is a thought crime' not letting discontent enter your heart'
How in fucks name are you to do that.
Its artificailly setting you up to fail, you are automatically a sinner and the church has got ya.
Youre justification for this one is duious at best.
And you are to have no other gods but me, is this admission of the existance of other gods? could be read that way dont you think?
very good points and I agree with both.

I understand you accept the top 4, regardless of logic and a single rational thought. And you are correct, I'm an Atheist, so of course I see it as bullshit.
And you are correct on the Old Testament and all it's infamous glory...lol. You have your opinions on it and I get that, but it still doesn't change the blunt fact that the ten commandments which has been drug over to the NT lacks in morality and justifications for it's first half.
Quote:But if you read the new testament and can't gather that Jesus preaches about peace then there truly no hope for your reading comprehension skills.
You believing that this man was some supernatural zombie being that knows best has nothing to do with my comprehension skills, which are just fine considering Jesus speaks as loosely with peace as he does killing and torture.. You just simple choose to follow the peace side... I tend to look at the whole picture....
I don't believe I ever commented on any of the commandments save your 9 and 10, so your assumptions are presumptuous. I don't believe the first 4 or any of them lack in morality at all.
Belief has nothing to do with reading comprehension skills. I didn't say your belief, just you r reasoning and comprehension, no need to throw my belief in at all, we can both read the same book. I don't believe I've ever show such a skewed view as you're attributing to me. He does not speak loosely at all about either peace or killing.

You broke the commandments down for me, with your opinions, on your other post. And as far as the first 4, that will simply have to be an, "Agree to disagree"....
Quote:Belief has nothing to do with reading comprehension skills.
I disagree with this statement. And again there is a reason for 34,000 branches of the Christian Sect. Not only did they all comprehended differently in what they read, but their "Belief" in something is just another variable out of the life situations that made them think differently about how and what they read.....etc. etc. etc.

No, not as bad as some.....
Quote:He does not speak loosely at all about either peace or killing.
You're correct, he's speaks very bluntly about both....
Quote:By your own admission you don't have the time or care for deep discussion, so I think I'm done feeding the troll for a while.
No troll here, just someone who does not believe the "Ten Commandments" is the most moral guide line.

I apologize profusely samson the line "By your own admission you don't have the time or care for deep discussion, so I think I'm done feeding the troll for a while." was not intendted for you at all I was cut/pasting from 2 pm's and several threads.. I've edited it out again I apologize.
I will agre that out perspective in life taints everything we take in including reading comprehension. I conceed that.
I looked back at my post and only commented on 9 and 10 with a side note on "thou shall not steal. I'll leave the Jesus preaching hate and reading comprehension out of it and I'd be glad to share my opinions on anything regarding the 10 commandments you have to ask.

Tack, no problem at all.......I've done the same in the past...
I may be an ass hat at times...(Well, most of the time)...But just as I said to you a while back; my moments of finger pointing or more so for the extreme and literal believers....
But that doesn't mean I don't share my opinions from time to time with the 50/50's....lol
And if there are no further questions .. moving on. where's a hijacker ?
