Ack! I forgot to list Gravity Falls too! So good for a kids show, it's "LOSTesque" They won an Oscar for the best animation, they don't crank out a bunch of shows, because the animation is so epic. My son and I are addicted.

@JennyA: if it weren't for Rachel Maddow my(TV)set would be null too.
I don't really watch anything too regularly. I'm not sure when I started giving up on TV.
I do like So You Think You Can Dance. I have also started watching Dancing With The Stars a bit, just because they have hired dancers from SYTYCD as pros. Witney and Alfonso were my faves this past time. But mostly it's news (local, NBC, occasionally CNN), C-Span, or sports (soccer [MLS, NWSL, USWNT, USMNT, Man City], and auto racing [rally and NASCAR]). I really liked Manhattan Love Story on ABC, but it lasted three episodes.

I am going to check out The Leftovers now.

Raising Hope
Blacklist Walking Dead Burn Notice House of Cards The Following We don't have regular TV and watch mostly on Netflix streaming.
This isn't exactly listing the shows I watch - I did that back on page 3 - but I would like to take this opportunity to augment that list while simultaneously promoting what I think is a glorious glorious piece of art:
Over the Garden Wall Over the Garden Wall is an animated miniseries that Cartoon Network did. Ten episodes, each 11 minutes long, aired two-at-a-time on consecutive nights. The main characters are voiced by Elijah Wood, Collin Dean, Melanie Lynskey with a recurring role from Christopher Lloyd and guest voices by John Cleese and Tim Curry among many, many others. The story itself is heartrending and is one of those that makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time just thinking about it. I really think it's a true classic, not just among miniseries, or cartoons, but is up there with the greatest films/shows of all time.

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.
The weather. That's it.
Made the mistake of clicking on the first post's "Paul's drag race" thinking it might be interesting. Sure wasn't what I had in mind. RE: List the shows you watch

Got-ham
Flash Walking dead Marco pollo Date line Deadbeat (I think it is a Amazon or Hulu only show) Oldies but goodies: Arrested development Firefly Any Star Trek Battle star (Basically anything with the word 'star' in the title) Futurama (great last finally begs for reply) Want to see: the syfi version of the walking dead/zombie show "Turn " the amc show about a colonial spy durning the revolutionary war. (That's the one where we kicked some serious mash banger butt.) Oh, yeah the black list and I may have seen an episode or two of downton Abby.
Could someone recommend me a new TV show to watch based on my preferences? Here's my list:
- How I Met Your Mother --> Finished, enjoyed it a lot, specially the first 4 seasons. The ending was not bad - Prison Break --> Loved it, but one of the seasons was a bit boring (I can't remember which, it's been about 3 years) - Spartacus --> I enjoyed it and finished it - Game Of Thrones --> Watched all 4 seasons and waiting for the 5th. I'm not a fan enough to even read the books, but I enjoy it, specially the medieval setting and plot - Dexter --> My 2nd favourite series, I finished some weeks ago. Season 8 was bad, but season 4 was among the best seasons I've ever watched in any TV show - Breaking Bad --> My favourite TV series until now, loved every part of it - Vikings --> Watched season 1 and I'm still not in a mood to watch the 2nd, but I liked it. - The Walking Dead - The first two seasons were great; season 3 was still good but I disliked season 4. I'm still not in a mood for season 5 - Sons Of Anarchy - I started watching this about a month and half ago, I'm loving every part of it. I'm on season 6 - House M.D. - I'm not sure if I watched every single episode but I accompanied most of the series, and I loved it Shows I plan to watch: - Walking dead (continuation) - Vikings (continuation) - Hannibal - The Wire - The Sopranos (I know it's old but I'm interested) I watch more movies than American TV series but I'm still interested. I have a preference for drama mixed with crime (but drama by itself is enough) and I enjoy medieval settings as well
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
@Dystopia, have you watched Sherlock? I recently finished it after hearing so much good stuff. I couldn't recommend it more. Each episode is 1h30m long, so they're like little movies.
Another show I try to recommend whenever I can is Derek. It's a little odd, but it has tons of heart.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue |
