We are talking about the 1% of the population that has the highest income....those which can afford to buy their way into any country they want. We are talking about rich bastards like Minimalist.

And yet here I am stuck in this one full of pieces of human shit like you , Woodie. Terrible choice on my part!

So now that we know you are just an ignorant trailer-trash asshole, why do you keep voting for rich fucks who only want to screw you over?

Are you stupid?

(That's my guess.)

I have no idea how much money anyone on this forum earns and I do not care. Wanting more equality and less of a gap between the rich and the poor does not mean that someone hates rich people. At least, that is my guess as to why you pointed out Minimalist's income.

As I have previously mentioned, these tea bagging morons are fixated on the wrong revolution.

This:

is what they should be worried about.

To quote Aeschylus - Dangerous is a people's voice charged with wrath—it acts as a curse of publicly ratified doom.

They are very worried about it. That's why Bloomberg is trying to make civilian ownership of firearms illegal.

Chas, Chas, Chas.... it's the fascists who are buying all the guns. When the army stages a coup they will be cheering them on.

Here in Massachusetts, liberals are buying guns.

Evidence?

We are already a police state. The fiction of a bunch of armed rabble rising up against it is just modern mythology.

I've lived in Mexico and South America both and just about everybody there has delusions about making easy money in the United States. We cannot support the numbers of people who want to come over here. It is harsh, but it is also reality. If we opened up the proverbial flood gates, there just wouldn't be enough jobs for all the people who would come up here, not even close and those people would end up living in the streets with no jobs. We recently had high unemployment just for the people who live here already. It would be worse not just for people who are here already, but for the immigrants themselves. That's why someone from Norway, Switzerland or one of your Millionaires doesn't have a problem getting into the country. Those people don't have an incentive to stay because they can already make more money in their home country where wages are higher than they can in the United States.

Again, you can tell sob stories about how hard things are for immigrants, but opening up immigration and making it 'fair' for everyone is going to make the problem way worse, not better.

It doesn't surprise me at all. Most of the Mexicans I know who want to go to the United States want to go back to Mexico after making money. Honestly there are lots of things about Mexico that I prefer to the United States. We think that we are the land of the free, but in Mexico nobody is going to think twice about you lighting off fireworks in the middle of a city for no reason. There is no such law as drunk in public, you can drive on the curb (in fact it's expected much of the time) Mexico is great. Also there is a misconception that Mexico is a super dangerous place. Sure, some parts of Mexico are extremely dangerous, but much of rural Mexico is as safe as it gets. Immigrants goals often aren't to permanently leave their country, just to find work. However that doesn't change any of my earlier points, there are waaaaay more people who would want to work in the United States than their are jobs for them here.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

There's been too many people watching Red Dawn on Netflix who don't know shit about modern military tactics regarding insurgencies ... and too many folks with their heads down in the consumer pigtrough to care what gets done to any putative rebels.
