Eternal life is not worthless or meaningless. At least not right away. When you have it all, though; when there's nothing you don't know, nothing you haven't done, nothing you don't own, nothing you haven't experienced, then there's really only one thing to look forward to. One final event that, if transpired, will literally be the last thing you'll ever do: death. However, eternal life means that will never come. You'll be doomed to go on living, knowing there's something forever out of your reach.
The truth is absolute. Life forms are specks of specks (...) of specks of dust in the universe.
Why settle for normal, when you can be so much more? Why settle for something, when you can have everything?

That's one reason Christians choose Christ to eternally put death at bay, so there would be no regret. Like I said earlier in this thread an eternal life brings infinite opportunities. You also need to understand what heaven really is about.

I know what heaven is about. It's the ultimate carrot on a stick to keep people in line. It's a promise that never has to be kept. The church gets away with it just because people can't prove its untrue, and are scared to take the risk.
