I'm sure you're familiar with the story of "The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf".
During the Obama Administration, and long before, we've seen a variation of that story play out.
The Little Conservative Boy Who Cried "Wolf!"
One day, a little conservative boy decided to play a trick on the village.
"Wolf! Wolf! Wolf!" cried the little conservative boy.
The Corporate Media Villagers came running to find what was the matter, "Where? Where? Where?"
"Acorn is involved in sex trafficking and voter fraud!" the little conservative boy shouted.
And so the corporate media villagers scurried about reporting the controversy. Conservatives were outraged! OUTRAGED! Acorn was driven out of business.
It all turned out to be bullshit but by the time the truth was revealed, nobody cared anymore. The Corporate Media Villagers don't care about facts. They just want to "report the controversy". Besides, soon they had another distraction.
"Wolf! Wolf! Wolf!" cried the little conservative boy.
The Corporate Media Villagers came running to find what was the matter, "Where? Where? Where?"
"We have emails that show climate scientists are lying to us and fudging the data to mislead people into thinking Global Warming is real."
And so the corporate media villagers scurried about reporting the controversy. Conservatives were outraged! OUTRAGED! "Many conservative pundit was thrilled! "I knew it all along! It was a conspiracy! All along they something something government grant money something something communist takeover!"

...to save time, let me say this story goes on and on. Each time, it's a new source of "OUTRAGE!" from conservatives, each time there are consequences (someone gets wrongfully fired, there's another fruitless congressional investigation, there's a new war, etc), each time the story turns out to be total bullshit. Just to name a few on the "wolf, wolf, wolf" list that I can readily recall:
The little conservative boy has been crying "Wolf!" since at least the Clinton Administration. From Whitewater to the run up to the Iraq War, the pattern is continuously repeated: conservative lies are circulated, they stir up controversy and by the time they're debunked, no one seems to care anymore.
Every!
Single!
Time!
By now everyone should see what's different about this story from the original: At no point does the little conservative boy lose credibility. He keeps crying "Wolf!" and no one calls him out on all the times he cried that before.
It is past time for the conservative little boy to be ignored. There's never a wolf.

- Shirley Sherrod

- Benghazi Part II (the bogus 60 Minutes story)
- "You didn't build that"
- "Death Pannels"
- Various Birtherism hoaxes
- Clive Bundy
- Ferguson Witness #40
- The supposed Al Sharpton led protest where supposedly the crowd called for the killing of police officers
