Is this tragic accident a reason to ban guns? Obviously not. In the thread about the toddler who accidentally shot and killed his mother I wrote this:
Now we issue police officers guns in order facilitate them doing their jobs. Because they are issued guns, some bad things will result from it. This incident is one of those bad things. It is certainly not a reason to ban guns any more than the toddler accidentally shooting his mother is a reason to ban guns.
