No I have decided that my mighty penis is the one true god.

Before we can even begin to discuss what forms of evidence would be acceptable to prove (or falsify) the existence of god(s), we first need a coherent definition of what a god is.

In my experience, the more clearly defined a god is, the easier it is to falsify and the more vague the definition gets, the less it matters if that god exists or not.

Why do you seek something to "hold it all in existence"? We can see or in some other way detect that which exists. We have no reason to think there is something else which holds it together, do we?

Perhaps you have in mind the strong nuclear force found within an atom? Must we also imagine something holding that force together, along with yet something else to then hold it together? Maybe existence isn't really a set of infinite Russian dolls, one within the other. Perhaps what we see is what we get.

Until you have a cogent reason to think otherwise, I'll leave you to ponder this non-problem on your own.

This is not about words, it is about pinpointing what kind of evidence we are looking for when we claim that there is not evidence of a God (or whatever you choose to call it) Smile

It certainly isn't my job to describe to you the sort of evidence you are looking for. Hell, I don't really know what you mean by god anyway. All I'm saying is I haven't seen any evidence for whatever it is you have in mind. Why not just give us a description and show us what you have by way of evidence .. or I'll just go back to ignoring whatever it is.
