Je ne suis pas Charlie Hebdo

But at the same time I am not one to be told what to think, or what I can and can not do either. when Sony was attacked for "the interview" I told Trich we were going to have to risk a theater bomb on Christmas Day, just to support free speech.

Now I am wondering what can we do that will really piss these radical Islamist off... If cartoons of their prophet was what set them off, maybe we should flood our public places with bumper type stickers.. I was thinking of having some made up and was going to distribute them at some local gun shops to give out to customers.

I think support of our culture is ok, but I think it falls a bit short. If our response is just to circle our wagons it will only be brushed off. However if it has an explosive opposite effect it may cause a pause before another 'execution order is given.'

Mockery works against people who have very narrow way of looking at the world. That is why the extremists were so bothered by these cartoons. Wars and bombings just create more extremists but mockery can be used to force us to think differently about what we hold dear. I like the Charlie Hebdo cartoon of the cartoonist kissing Mohammed because of the caption that comes with it...Love is stronger then hate

This is going to be a long shot, but you can openly repudiate the idea of magical superstitions being the bedrock of a person's life.

Not likely.

These extremists don't really give a shit about drawings. They want a war. This is just a convenient excuse to try and have one. They want more cartoons and they want more mockery. It just gives them validation (in their eyes) that their holy war is just, that they are justified in killing people who mock their religion.

These extremists want the western world to hate them. The kind of response you're talking about is the best thing they can hope for.

Wait...

You won't acknowledge the "je suis" support campaign, but you want a suitable Charlie Hebdo cartoon to use?

Why am I even surprised?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

What you don't seem to get about religion is for most it is not the idea of magic or superstition. Religion and religious worship is a practice in methodology, for the express purpose of some worldly/religious based reward. Meaning most people align themselves with religion so as to be in the social rewards program a given religion boasts.

Which should further drive a wedge between moderate and extreme muslims.

Is anybody else worried about our intelligence apparatus spoofing as Anonymous to further their propaganda agenda?
How does Anonymous prove its bona fides and stay anonymous?
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

That doesn't address anything I said, so why quote me?

Are you intentionally being obstinate?

Or do you not even take heart in the smug crap you write? You said 'I will not acknoweledge the French campaign. '

I acknoweledged it in the op and in the follow up at your attempt at a 'high horse moral assessment.'

My confirmation of the Je suis campaign should have trigger at the very least a retraction of your orginal assessment.

But, rather you pretend to be ignorant of the situation your in.

Way to lead from the front!
