EDIT: I'd suggest you watch the video and determine for yourself whether this guy deserves to be judged or not, before you criticize our judgement.

Like I said I'm sure the preacher is way out of line just the few quotes demonstrate this.

Yes and the guy should be in jail for punching a child in the chest.

Just discovered this gem: "I led that man to the Lord right there." - Yeah, bucked over, gasping for breath. Poor guy was probably too scared to deny the existence of God in front of you.

I highly doubt that the kid in question credits any religious beliefs to this Pastor (assuming the little guy is still religious...).

There are some kids who need a good punch, but its not allowed, its best to wait until they grow up and then punch them lol.

Credit where it's due: dropping a kid to the ground with violent force is a pretty good representation of the lord he wanted to bring him to.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

It's tragic that followers of this pastor/preacher whatever he is have to listen to him talking about hitting children for such a lousy reason. Hopefully they have the brains to think clearly. I haven't watched the video but I'm kind of guessing the guy is shouting for everyone to hear, pointing to god and saying something like Jesus loves you and then getting on with his sermon.

Ya I'm christian but am not particularly fond of protestant preachers who are caught on camera. Then again I'm not that fond of preachers anyway, claiming to speak for god or something like that.
I understand why you guys get pissed. Even I'd get pissed if I grew up in that surrounding.

But seriously bros . . . Making jokes about the child rape cases ain't cool. No matter how subtle

It is assault but if Ben and his parents don't bring it to the police's attention, ithe authorities probably won't know. The fact that the pastor didn't go to jail for this means that poor Ben probably has parents who believe that punching someone in the chest so they will learn about Jesus is okay.

My guess is that because Ben, according to the pastor, was an intelligent child that he asked one too many questions and that threatened the pastor's maleness. Can't have anyone-especially a kid-making him look dumb.

I just realized the pastor was from Fayetteville, NC. That is where I grew up.

I went to Cape Fear Christian Academy in Erwin. We lived in Lillington at the time. Small world.
