Shoutbox off switch? & also....

Is there an off switch for the shoutbox? I can minimize it, but it comes back every time I return here or refresh.

Also, is there a way to change the order in which posts appear? When I click a link for an interesting thread, I'm always taken to the last post in the thread, and have to navigate back to the beginning - or worse yet, try to find the place I was the last time I read the thread.

Also, this puppy followed me home. Can i keep it?

There's a green arrow before the title of a thread you've posted in... clicking on that will take you to where you last were I'm not sure if it applies to threads that you haven't posted in, but have read... I post in a lot of threads...
