I have a few, very few, Christian friends with whom i like to debate with, but they are open minded for Christians, so leave her be and if she can cope she will. As for Ralph, its an automatic response brought on by cultural factors.

A friend who gets mad because you happen to differ on a specific question is not a real friend. My girlfriend was Catholic when we started dating, it was irrelevant back then, it still is even though she de-converted
