Facebook To Ban Religious Posts and Memes
|
It does have the wonderful effect of sending Facebook religiotards on FB into a tizzy and deleting their accounts in wonderful rage-quits.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Quote:ban their users from creating status updates and image posts related in any way to religionReally? No freedom of speech? Double standards? So can I display my political ideology by showing, for example, the "A" of anarchy but not a Christian cross? Quote: while also vowing to disband groups and take down pages with religious goals or affiliations. And only religious groups count? Damn it, we might as well ban anyone with an agenda whatsoever. Quote:The first will see religiously-themed pages being removed, as well as religious groups, private or otherwise, being disbandedFreedom of speech, association and creation. Quote: The second wave will prohibit the posting, sharing, and general distribution of religious images and memesBut can I share a pic of Stalin? Quote: images asking Facebook users to pray, or encouraging them to believe in one or any religion, will be banned, with warning messages and even account suspensions for those who repeatedly attempt to violate the rulePropaganda is not illegal, I have the right to proselytize Quote:Seems like an authoritarian dream to me. Tell me this is a joke. EDIT - Already found out it is a joke.
