Seriously, whoever had the brainwave to make your stand up comics go into politics... Fucking genius. I loves you guys!

Cut to the 0.35 seconds mark. You can actually see him doing the hard mental arithmetic. "Stagnating for over a decade" (wait, 4+4 =.... 8. Over a decade is.... Oh shit fuck that would mean it was our guy! .) "ummm can we start over?"

I would like to thank the GOP for their sheer comedy value. They are the gift which just keeps giving.

Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Hilary Clinton, and Paul Ryan; whenever they speak I see deadness behind their eyes.

Your eyes would go dead too if your professional life hinged on shoveling shit 24/7 to idiots who hold your professional future in their hands. Entire staff strategy meetings must take place just to figure out how low the lowest common denominator really is. Talk about depressing!

Jon Stewart suggested to Cruz that if he wanted to be taken seriously he should not make a clip that looks like a hostage video.

Fucker actually utters something I'd agree with him on and then wants a do-over.

Ted Cruz represents a political party which expressly caters to people obviously lacking in the competence necessary to cast an informed vote on what to have for dinner.

You have it totally wrong. They don't cater to these people, they wouldn't even deign to wipe their asses with them. They cater to big money like every conservative party in the world. And they thrive on fear mongering. That why the folks having problems with tying their own shoes vote for them.

"...the trainwreck that we made of Obamacare." Fixed that for him.

I get the impression that "new and bold leadership" means "not thinking too much when making decisions." This is all hilarious when you consider that the GOP's main goal for the last six years has been gridlock no matter what. The republican's history books will read something like "(D)Obama was the lowest achieving president in X amount of years, our guy came in and got stuff done. God bless the miracle that is America.", never mentioning its all by their design. Greedy fucking pigs.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Made this spring immediately to mind

My theory is that It's an extension of the anti-intellectual streak which is rampant in murica. It started with the gop trying to make itself accessible, "look, we're dumb and religious just like you." then a political generation or two later they started to believe their own rhetoric and electing people who were GENUINELY dumb and religious. The new generation, the palins, the cruz's etc are the unintended consequences of a move to try to dumb down politics to win votes from unsophisticated people with unsophisticated ideologies. They've discovered that voters value relatability more than talent.
