Welcome fellow dog aficionado. My first dog was half terrier, though not that terrier. I have heard stories of german shepherd who have come out the worst for it after picking on a Jack Russell. They have a reputation as the honey badger of the dog kingdom.

Personally I'm big on herders now after inheriting an Australian Shepherd last time around. My avatar now features Heidi, my aussie/heeler cross.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You have a lot in common with me. I'm in England, and a lifelong atheist too. I adore animals, dogs especially, and my "daughter" is a jack Russell cross staffy. I'm a vegan, and I suffer from severe depression. It's not quite like bipolar, but I can empathise. I'm sorry for the trauma you have suffered. You seem to be coping with it very well and are leading a great life Smile I look forward to reading more from you!
