Technically - yes, although barely.
Could have been worse. Could have been written by God...

It could've been. I mean, if cancer is a gift from god, aren't measles, too?

No. We killed the measles we got from god. This time the measles are a gift from Jenny McCarthy and a fraudulent doctor, from UK (presently no longer allowed to practice in UK, so has a fraudulent clinic in USA). Plus a few other crooks and/or morons...

That said, I do know a little about this book; the author blames vaccinations for the death of her child, but she didn't get there by herself. Grief stricken as she was, she was perfect prey for her aunt, an anti-vax nut who had some form of medical training herself- I believe she was a nurse- who stalked around maternity wards, tracking down parents who had recently lost their own children for her "investigations," into the dangers of vaccinations. So personally, I only partially blame the author, while reserving the lion's share of the blame for that absolute vulture of an aunt, preying on the grief of new parents to prop up her own post-hoc-ergo-propter-hoc delusions. Yes, I read the story. This sort of sentiment is like a disease itself, and indeed it seems to have been the aunt who turned her grief for her child into something sinister.
But how far back do you want to go? Who got to the aunt? Who got to him / her? Which of the well meaning but FUCKING WRONG people has to take responsibility for the rest?
The fact is, sad as it is, she's the one putting out information which might very well lead to other parents suffering what she did. She has to take responsibility for that, irrespective of her vulnerability. I have sympathy for her loss, but that does not mitigate her accountability in my view. I'm a heartless bastard that way .

I did say that I partially blamed her; she's definitely complicit in this, after all. But she also has some mitigating factors, in her grief and potential ignorance of medicine. Those aren't excuses in any respect, but they are factors that need to be taken into account. But her aunt, who has every reason to know better, spent her time bothering grieving families to feed her conspiracy theories; in the continuum of sick ignorance that fuels the anti-vax movement, she's worse.
It's kinda a Palpatine and Vader situation; Vader's still a villain, but it's indisputable that he was manipulated into that situation unknowingly. Doesn't mean he's not to blame for Obi Wan's death.
