The OT sacrificial law, like much of religion, resembles childhood behavior extended into adults.
"Ohh! you touched me, now you've got cooties! The only way to get them off is to give me your lunch money."

Similarly, some men never grow out of euphemisms about body parts and make untoward implications about gannets and chickadees.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

This is what I predict a Christian will say. "The old laws don't apply today. They were there just to play a divine prank on the Jewish people. When god sent his son, Christians discovered that no one could actually follow those laws even though Jewish people did. The reason for the laws, that don't really matter(even though Jewish people were judged harshly for ignoring them), was to show how much greater the Christian method of salvation was. So yeah, a funny joke on the Jewish people"

Which is funny because jesus said follow the OT and no one is doing it. If there is a hell every christian is going to it with the exception of the jews because you know they follow the OT.

So what convinces Christians that the NT is the corrected version and YHWH isn't still playing the merry prankster on them? Seems they think He has a history of deception. Why not still?
