Yeah. By their logic, should we consider every crime committed by a christian to be directly causally linked to their Christianity?

No no you cant to that all christians and even the ones in jail are perfectly good little angels because they prayed for forgiveness Angel Cloud Dodgy Id say tons of things are linked to religion and well it is.... because most theists believe in some sort of god and or after life even though atheists are the minority in the US there is hardly any of us in jail even in countries that are mostly atheist. So yeah... i guess you could blame crime on religion because its a factor.

If he did what has been described here, then he is a monster and nothing justifies murder like this.

A christian committing a crime is not considered a christian.

Not being a Christian = true atheist

There's your problem.

Quote:Doesn't seem to me to there being much religious significance to a parking space.

In NYC parking spots are holy ground.

I wouldn't expect that in NC.

Apparently it's over a parking space.

That's not stopping certain media outlets making a big deal that he's an atheist or anti-theist. As I asked on FB, will there ever be a headline, "Christian kills 10 in rampage", or anything similar, stressing his religion instead of just the fact that he/she killed people?

He probably also ate breakfast that day. Breakfast causes murder.

I don't know how many of you know this but since Charlie Hebdo there's a lot of attacks on Muslims and mosques - Primarily destroying Muslim shops and workplaces, vandalizing Mosques, throwing pig heads to Mosques, etc. Some Mosques have cops on the door to prevent attacks. Dunno about you guys but I think Charlie Hebdo shouldn't excuse attacking a group of the population like this, specially because not all people who wear hijabs, long beards and arabic clothes are actual Muslims

Where the hell did you get the idea that we think anything excuses this tragedy?
