Well ok, here we have some swedish melodeath, with a beautiful female voice, no less
Here one of the current Über albums of the tech death scene, also from sweden And here we have an absolute Thrash classic by Sepultura from Brazil And then there's this recent tech/prog death masterpiece. It's got a freaking String Quintet in the middle of it! Gorguts' Luc Lemay has training as a classical composer.

"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped. Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses. Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder. Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids." RE: Rule #34 for music

...and I also occasionally like power metal, too.
Or it might just be this song, but it gives me chills every single time. RE: Rule #34 for music

I just don't warm to Sabaton, I don't know. My power metal guily pleasure is Blind Guardian.
Btw, what genre is Nevermore, do they count as power metal? Damn this album still gives me the shivers
