Codecs? FFMPEG isn't good enough for you? What else do you need?

Should drag and drop ok.. Default playlist is?
Default playlist is "History"... makes sense that drag&drop doesn't work in there.
Then we have a "Queued" which also doesn't support drag&drop.
And nothing else... I had to create a new playlist and that one supported it.
It should already be there titled something like "my first playlist" or something, and holding whichever file is playing at the moment.... kinda like MPC does... Angel

Don't know about AC3. Will have to investigate..

Sub second accuracy is just a quirk of mine.

Love the feedback and, at least it works Great

I'll give you a mention in the About box, when I create one...

Well... I used to install that K-lite codec pack, then I noticed that most codecs I needed were just in ffmpeg, so I jumped ship and now only use ffmpeg... ffmpeg does support all codecs, even AC3, but maybe the mkv and mp4 container support is the missing thing that k-lite has.. and MPC does too, so I don't have to install more codecs... hmmm...

RE: Hypercube
My install failed with a permissions problem for VFFFMPEG.dll.

Retry didn't work.
Ignore allowed installation to finish but trying to run failed (VFFFMPEG.dll missing.)

I'm in XP Pro.
Ancient school here, actually some of the house machines are in W98SE.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Sorted a few things. Especially pleased with the subtitle controls now. Time to test the Check for Updates menu item then Smile Or download it if you haven't already...

Worked for all the videos I was looking through earlier without any problems. I didn't experiment much. I'll have a real play around tomorrow when I have some more time. Did you want to know anything about my PC?

Phew that's a relief. Have you tried Check for Updates? And yes, a quick spec of you P.C. would be interesting Smile

Thanks...

Thanks...

Update worked fine. I had to manually pick the install location but that was no problem. It also gave me your message telling me Hypercube didn't think I have the codecs. Closed the message and it still works fine.

My PC:
Windows 8.1
MSI Z97 Gaming 7
i5 4690k
Asus GTX 770 2gb
16gb Corsair Vengeance RAM

The operating system is on an SSD but Hypercube is installed on my HDD.

Not sure if its relevant but some of the stuff I had recorded were pretty large file sizes and 60fps and it ran great. A slight delay after doing a drag and drop of like 2-5 seconds of loading.

I should also add I love that when you maximize it immediately takes the full screen of only video. That and the in video screen shots is really useful for me.
