Did it have the program files folder selected? The codec check just checks for the K-Lite Codec Pack but you can tell it to sod off and it'll never bother you again
But, it does seem to be working ok though, which is great. It does take a couple of seconds to load really big files but hopefully I can work on that.
Thanks for all the feedback.

I don't suppose you have a Debian/Ubuntu release?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Darwinian - can't check it out ATM (I'm on android), but I'll give it a go later and see what you've done with it since the last go around.
I will say, this project looks for more interesting than the dreck I get paid to write.

Ah, that will probably be why. Everything on my PC is installed a bit weird. Been putting off setting it right. But yeah, works fine regardless.

Its literally only 2-4 seconds for the bigger files around 7 gig.
Its been no problem, not had any issues besides not knowing about the codecs at the start. I'll keep using it and try play around with it more during the week.

LOL!
Nice message:

Shall I sod off now, never to pester you with this again?
[YES] [NO]
Update worked, even if it's "just" a check for a new version on the site and download and run the installer, as if it wasn't already installed... tut tut.
Great job!
btw, I'm running win7 HP SP1 build 7601, on an old ASUS laptop with a core2Duo P8700.

Yes, I suppose I could just swap the exe's over... Did you like the outline subtitles? Took me ages of fiddling to get that right.

They are big files aren't they? Glad it can cope, but I always knew it would

The devil is always in the details.
Although... that "top left", "bottom right", etc stuff... isn't clear that it relates to the shadow... perhaps some more fiddling with that menu?
