Yeah it's par for the course for Faux News. He'll act indignant for a couple of weeks and attack everyone else's character who was in the Falklands with him, then move forward as if nothing happened.

He was trying to get CNN to pull the reports and even getting one of the anchors he worked with to back him up. In the link that guy had some real integrity to tell bill no.

I thought the Peabody Award mess was the best shot, (really). Falkland/Maldive is ancient history and O'Reilly was too far down the line of succession from the talking heads when Maggie was blasting the Belgrano (San Diego) to Davy Jones locker for anything he fubar'd back then.

Now, if the Peabody thing comes back up, and then the sex harassment settlement (with titillating anal masturbation details) follows soon thereafter, and his divorce (last year or year before?) flares a bit, we'd have him trussed up like a turkey.
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
