What the fuck is this 'if' shit? Old news. The value is controlled by the banks, not the utility or inherent value of the metal.

Business would get slow. There would be money shortages. Without electronic transfers, theft would increase. There would be silver and gold (both of which have industrial uses) shortages. Might make the Great Depression look small.
