"Are ever too old to play video games?" Am I the only person bothered by it?
And aside from being a serial nitpicker, I don't think you're ever too old to like something. Can't really speak from personal experience, though, being in my teens and all... 
Like rob, I've been playing video games for 30+ years. I would absolutely loathe myself if I gave up something I've enjoyed for so long simply because it didn't conform to someone else's idea of what an adult should do. Not only should I not care about someone else's definition of social roles, that definition is arbitrary, dated, and more than a little bit stupid.

These are more than just games. More like interactive movies

Any game that has a deeper meaning to it is worth playing at any age. This War of Mine is a recent example.
