It won't pass, thankfully but the fact that there is someone who would even propose such a law is horrible

This is a link to the actual bill. Perhaps I am reading it incorrectly but it sounds as if it provides citizens with immunity to kill homosexuals.

I would assume the reason there hasn't been a thread on this yet, if that's true, is because this is so batshit insane people must think it's from The Onion or something. Trying to prevent homosexual marriage is bad enough, but some people are trying to legalize mass killings of a group of people. Surely the atheists would be next, since they're the most distrusted group in America. Maybe it would be efficient if these undesirables could be concentrated into designated camps before killing them.

It's hardly surprising that there are individuals in USA - and other western countries - who think that way, considering that there are over a billion of them in the Middle East and Africa.

I want to see McLaughlin handle some deadly serpents and imbibe some poison before we get too far along with his legislative proposal.

If only everyone would do that as proof that they're a true believer. Either they learn quick not to be too fundie, or they die early from the poison. Either way is fine with me.
