How does that new quote function work? I only get a plus or minus sign when I click quote, but I don't see how and where I could insert the text I want to quote. And when I hit reply at the bottom of a post, I get the whole thread as quote.

You select the post(s) you want to quote for quick reply. the minus sign indicates that you want to exclude that quote when you click on the "Quote these posts now" (or indeed "deselect them") on the quick reply box. Currently is selects the entire post and not a specific element within it (though you can obviously delete as necessary). 
It looks like just clicking reply at the bottom of the posts automatically assumes you want to quote that post.
Indeed. The new 'quote' function's point is that it allows you to quick reply to multiple posts without going into full edit mode.
Oh did it? Ok. I've only been using the full site on and off for about two weeks since I got a working laptop. Will there be the same attention to bugs and function given to the mobile version in the future?
Most certainly. We're prioritizing at the moment (we have limited man power), but give us some time.
On a side note, you've been using the mobile version all this time? ^_^
No, well I was for a while there, but I followed some of the instructions in this thread to get me back to the full site. But, yeah, I'm normally on my phone. If my posts seem short and clunky, that'd be why (I tell myself).
