But you've been saying that you think everyone would care enough about (or at least about some part of) their partner's "sexual history" to vote yes, but you've got most people voting 'no' or 'other', so obviously there's a disconnect there.

Yeh, and from what I can tell it's a disconnect in the interpretation of the phrase "sexual history." Because people seem to see sexual history as being purely the number of previous partners rather than everything of a sexual nature in that persons past.
For example I'd see it as someones sexual history if they had a history of masturbating in public. A person (in my opinion) could technically have sex with no one but still have sexual experiences and a sexual past and what I'd say was a sexual history.
I don't think anyone on here is confused about the definition of the words yes, no, other.

So everyone that voted 'no' or 'other' has a different idea of 'sexual history' than you. Which is why clarification in poll choices is needed. Which is why re-making your poll would be a good idea.

What do you mean by clarification in poll choices?

And 'other' is about as useless as a flat 'yes' or 'no'. Because if you made the 'other' category for "lets discuss your views to clarify"....you're already having to discuss with the people that picked 'no' anyway.
If you want to keep saying that 'sexual history' is not what the people that voted 'no' think it is, then maybe you should include the different facets of 'sexual history' in your poll choices'.

I don't think anyone I've ever dated has had a history with a poll. Well, I'm pretty sure of that. Unless it's been their own poll. But if that's the case, Rosy palm and her five sisters were usually involved too.

Is the question not meant to mean jealousy at the onset? As in "I need my partner to have few sexual partners in the past, because if he/she doesn't, I'll go mad with jealousy."
Otherwise, the question should be:
Do you care if your partner...
...has an STD.
...prefers the gender of which you don't identify.
...has committed pedophilia.
...has a history of violent sexual crimes.
...likes to haves many partners, even in the present.
At which point, "caring" isn't really up to you, is it? An argument could be made for the last two options, but the point still stands that jealousy is assumed when the question is asked.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

So you think that there are different facets in the term sexual history?

I don't see why jealousy would be assumed, the post by pauloroberts for example was not about his jealousy it was to do with his own standards, morale values whatever you want to call them. He didn't like the idea of his girlfriend previously enjoying anal sex and being on fetlife, he wasn't jealous of her.
I also don't understand what you mean when you say it isn't up to someone if they care or not about someone involved in acts of pedophilia.
