The thing about gay marriage is, there is a definite trend over time toward more and more acceptance of it. And there is no reason to believe that the trend will not continue.
I remember a commentator saying that the issue was unique in that pretty much the only people who change their minds are the ones opposed to it. Almost no one ever goes from believing it is okay to later condemning it, but people do go from condemning it to believing it is okay.
