GOP to unveil bill to stop affirmation of same-sex marriage
Quote:King unveiled a bill on Wednesday that would bar federal courts from hearing any cases related to the definition of marriage.

"We could pass this bill before the Supreme Court could even hear the oral arguments, let alone bring a decision down in June," he said at a press conference. "That would stop it right then, there would be no decision coming out of the Supreme Court. This is a brake, and whether we can get the brake on or not between now and June, that we don't know."

So many Republicans are amazingly stupid, and one of them suggesting such a thing demonstrates a total failure to understand American government and the Constitution of the U.S.

The Supreme Court could simply rule that this new moronic law is unconstitutional (which it is), and rule on the issue just as they plan on doing.

That Mr. King should not be trusted to do anything, given his extreme ignorance and stupidity. What are the Republicans doing these days, only electing people who are too stupid to do honest work?

King is an almost incomprehensible moron but the fault is not his.  The fault is that of the incomprehensible morons in his district who keep electing that fucking shithead.

Nationally it's stupid (and wrong). In the south it's good politics. The problem is that like the right to bear arms, the minority is more vocal and more concerned than the majority.

The minority might be more vocal but when it comes time to vote, they're still a minority.

This anti-gay thing is absolutely toxic to Republican chances. Unfortunately, more and more of them are realizing that. There are still enough idiots in the party though. I hope one of them wins the nomination.

Seeing as how they only have idiots running the odds of that seem pretty good.

The latest polls show the majority (65%) believe in the right to keep and bear arms.

Polls also show that support for legalizing gay marriage has a narrow majority.
