I suppose if we can have a "debate only in terms of memes" thread we should be able to allow a "debate only in terms of scripture" thread. Of course, so labeled, I'm not sure who would read it. I wouldn't.
Unless a thread is clearly labeled as an exception to the norm, then we all have a reasonable expectation that we are conversing with another human being and not some copy/paste single cause advocate.
Sure, but this isn't that thread, dude.
Still waiting on that retraction though, Randy: shouldn't be too much of a stretch for someone claiming to care so much about truth. As it stands, you've said a lie and seem content on letting it fester away, despite the fact that it's completely insulting and impugns the character of several parties that I've proven to be innocent. When are you going to man up and admit that?

Yeah, guys, please keep the Mod Green and Admin Red to the absolute minimum unless you happen to be Staff. It just avoids confusion.
Randy: Nobody here is censoring you. Your posts have not been deleted or materially edited; everything you have written is still available. If this is censorship, it's a most peculiar one. You have been asked and then told repeatedly not to post in the way you are doing and have been given the exact reason why.
There is no grand conspiracy against you. Without wishing to offend you (although it will), believe it or not your posts and your presence are not so important that you warrant constant Staff attention. If we wanted you silenced, do you think you'd still be posting here?
However, if you do have evidence of a Staff conspiracy, bring it to my attention and I will conduct an investigation. Until then, you will cease these public accusations and insinuations. Are we clear?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Absolutely. My agreement was supposed to be conveyed by the part I bolded. I do find the idea of a scripture only thread kind of funny, but only because it comes so close to what these clowns do when they aren't intending irony.

The meme only thread is clearly marked in both the title and discussed in the OP. If Randy wants to start a thread with people using scripture to have a conversation then he could but he started this thread as one to have a discussion. It isn't that hard to write a few lines explaining what you meant.
Newcomers to any forum have to learn not only the rules but the culture of that board so it is understandable that someone might make a mistake. There is no reason to feel singled out by the mods' corrections. Just don't keep doing the same thing

Your explanation why the catholic faith was true was because of reason and grace. That’s a little insane. How is that an explanation for providing us with evidence that leads to truth? Most people on here care about truth, so when you claim something to be true, actually provide facts to back it up in the future.
To me, confession is very twisted. To force the little seven year olds to go into a room with a priest by themselves, and force them to tell this man all the bad things they have done. That’s seriously twisted. I remember my first time doing it and the next 30-35 times over the years. I was nervous up until when I was 16 or something. Then you got some sinless, judgmental pricks in there, who would ask, ”Why would you do something like that?” when it was something minor. It never made sense why I couldn’t repent to god and the person I wronged.
Do you believe you have to confess your sins to get into heaven? I was taught that you couldn’t go to heaven unless you confessed your sins to a priest.
Do you believe that god actually answers prayers (I mean not with a “no” answer all the time)? Can you see why people don’t believe in prayers? It appears that things just happen. God says “yes” to the things that are going to happen anyway, and the things that are likely to never happen or that are impossible to happen without a god, don’t. If you believe in prayer, maybe provide an example or two why you do.

A question:
Many of us Atheists have read the bible (which likely contributed to some of our "deconversions"). So, does it work both ways?
Suppose I provided you a copy of 'The God Delusion', would you read it? If not, why?

Yeah... Randy, I suggest you re-involve yourself in this thread. I'm really sick of posting in green for you, and it's extremely bad form to come here, start a conversation, especially one who's title's prefix is "Ask a", and ignore the thread.
