Randy, stop fucking telling me what I do and do not know. I don't fucking care whether you think I'm asking a question honestly; astonishingly, that is not your call to make. This thread is called "Ask a Catholic" and you opened with "I'm a Catholic. You have questions. Let's get started." I want to know how to find this pearl of which you speak, how to find this kingdom of heaven. I even made you the offer that if I find the deal worthwhile, I would indeed discard my whole life and buy into it. You've been crowing about atheist converts - here's your chance to create a brand new one. Pascal's Wager is not an answer to the question I asked.
What is the right direction to find the kingdom of heaven?
One shot and then, depending on your very next response to me, we're done. And no argumentum ad emoticon please.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

New rule, religion peddlers that come on here should have to pass an intelligence test of some sort, because for the love of god (pun intended) this shit is ridiculous

Then we would not have any toys to play with spoilsport.

Pascal's Wager? Never heard of it. It raises some very interesting points, though. Jeez, I mean it makes A LOT of sense. I feel as though I must make a choice now. My eternal life depends on it.
Well, son of a bitch, I think I'm going to take the nessecary steps towards conversion. Gone are my atheistic ways and beliefs. Goodbye hollow existence, and all hail ZEUS!!!!
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:

No, wait, I've changed my mind. All hail Odin!!!! Yeah that feels better. Although, I must admit my choice was very arbitrary. Maybe slightly influenced by Marvel movies.

Jesus and the biblical characters believed in demons. The Pope and muslim clerics believe in demons. So is mental illness a normal condition for a large part of humanity?

For those who think the atheists on this thread are just being mean, I would suggest you read the whole thread through, along with the "why be good" one. I felt the need to give Randy a lecture on his despicable behaviour, and that's not something I do lightly.
I understand that's a lot of reading and I don't expect anyone to do it just because I say so, but I've read it all and I'm just suggesting you withhold judgement.

Uuuhhh, except if you're in the wrong religion, then you get to burn in hell. I assume you think you're in the right religion, but the odds are, that you're not. You die, and the catholic god is the wrong god, and there's some other evil bastard up there, then what?
How many more claims will you make as fact without something to back it up in this thread?
Everyone, believe in the catholic god, because you are guaranteed not to suffer loss, because I said so!

I'd say donating loads of money, living your life bound by a set of arbitrary rules, many of which strike at the foundations of being human, and spending lots of time on rituals counts as a loss.
