Regardless if you are a chef, good at making grilled cheese, or just enjoy a shitty big mac, please check out Chef's Table on Netflix.

There are 6 episodes that go over the history and aspirations of some of the top chefs over the entire the world.  By top, I mean, the top.  Massimo Battura is the owner and head chef of the 3rd best restaurant in the world.  It is truly worth a gander if you are bored.  They share some techniques and help you understand why food is so important to some people.

Thanks.

I think cooking can be an art. It is the only artwork I can think of where the better it is appreciated the more likely it is to be destroyed. Good food gets eaten.

Thanks for the Netflix suggestion. Once my family stops binge watching The Misfits on Hulu I will check out your suggestion

Not derailing the thread...not derailing the thread......mmm...arrrrgh.. can'tstop..Are you watching Misfits?? Do you like? The British series?

And I am all about food is art, I really appreciate well executed fine ingredients.... I'm on it! Heart

Last night was salad, sauteed mushrooms with a splash of balsamic vinegar to bring out the earthiness, and some minced garlic. Montreal rubbed bone in rib eyes.. brought to room temperature then seared in a hot cast iron pan. Cooked to a perfect medium rare/medium.

Tonight, salad, steamed broccoli finished with butter and a squeeze of lemon and seasonings and rack of lamb seared in a cast iron pan then finished in the oven to a medium rare.

I like to use fresh herbs and plan to grow some ths summer on the balcony.

Update? Begging

I got home too late to start cooking, so all I had was some raw vegetables, some good cheese and pumpernickel.

No, you don't understand. I ate the stuff as-is. In the case of an aged Gruyère, that's what one should do anyway.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a cheese connoisseur myself Alex...

In the fridge I've always got Coon Slices, Cheddar slices. Even got the cheese spread in the cupboard! You know the glass one where you get a free drinking glass with it when you're finished! tops!

Since this abuse of "cheese" is illegal around these parts here, we get our drinking glasses from mustard.

We have a conundrum...  Then go find the food you hate the least.

Did you post a picture there? My TasteGuard firefox add-on blocks it.
