Dawkins on the "nones" adapting other woo

I completely agree with Dawkins on this issue. It does no good to ditch old mythology only to replace it with new age woo. Specifically Dawkins has attacked the charlatan Deepak Chopra for selling claptrap pseudo science new age garbage. Even without subscribing to old religions, cons can arise to create another cult. Si Fi writer L Ron Hubbard was able to start Scientology by using claptrap "science sounding" lingo.

Yeah, but that's exactly along the lines of what I am constantly saying. Getting rid of (scripted) religion doesn't mean people throwing away their crutches. They will still feel the need for some tribal banding and it's lucky if they just do it in the name of some New Age woo instead of some exclusive political ideology.
