Mick Jagger brings me back to christianity

Mick Jagger brings me back to christianity
First of all, If you get a chance to see the Rolling Stones on probably their last tour...DO IT

As I was watching a 70+ Mick running around dancing for over 3 hours straight it came to me, he had sold his soul to the devil!

So, I thought, if there is in fact a devil, there has to be a gawd.  I am too afraid of the devil so I am now a Rolling Stones xtian!!!!!

Nah, Mick's just on a mix of vitamins, drugs, alcohol, and Viagra-b (it's like ordinary Viagra but much stronger and keeps the whole body erect).

Saw them back in 95. Even back then I wondered how a 52 year old could jump around like that. More so, since I'm 52 myself.

Shit, if any of those limp-dick, soulless Christian rock bands could write one song as great as "Gimme Shelter" or any of a few dozen other classic Stones' songs, Christian parents wouldn't have to worry about their kids going astray due to 'evil' cultural influences.  But the poor little bastards in ultra-fundie homes have to endure such dreck!  The music sucks.  The movies suck.  I don't know how they handle it aside from drinking more Kool-Aid to blot out the awfulness of it all.

I still love the name the color commentator for the Superbowl that had them at halftime hung on them. The Strolling Bones. Big Grin

I am certain the christian rockers are only christian because they couldn't cut it in the real rock world.  Where else are you guaranteed to sell records just because you appeal to one type of group?

RE: Mick Jagger brings me back to christianity
The trick is that he has stayed active and has not let body deteriorate too much.  If you keep active and do not do anything too destructive of your body, and are not too unlucky (like getting a disease that cripples you or getting hit by a bus), you, too, can be active when old.

For many people, this means watching what one eats, as well as getting enough exercise.  Most Americans do not do that, and so they cannot match Mick Jagger's activities at his age.  He would not be able to dance around for 3 hours if he were carrying an extra 100 pounds of fat.  Nor could he dance around for 3 hours if he did nothing but sit on his couch watching TV or posting online.

So, the way to be able-bodied when old is simple.  But most people will not do what is necessary and therefore will not be.

"A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence."
