Old age

RE: Old age
I voted "Old sucks!" But really I just meant physically. If I could keep the body I have now but keep on truckin then I would be a very happy camper.

RE: Old age
I voted old is much the same as young really. My interests and hobbies haven't changed much. I might be what sometimes is referred as a kidult. Was it the TV I watched as a kid that stressed imagination? Was it the movies I grew up on in the 70's and 80's? Is it just something built in me? I couldn't tell you. But I still enjoy comics, cartoons, video games, all things remote controlled, and that hasn't changed much from ever since I was 15 or so. But now at least I can afford to buy the toys I want. Until 2 years ago I had a pinball machine in my living room and if it wasn't for their size I'd buy a new one in a heartbeat.

The only real drawback about getting older to me at least is that some wear and tear is creeping into my body. Lifting 220lbs robots isn't as straightforward as it used to be. So now I lift smarter instead of harder.
Best regards,
Leo van Miert

Personally, old is bad, young is good, but society gives you more respect if you are older.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

RE: Old age
Old is what you do.

I've seen people who were old at 30

And peeps who were still young in their seventies.

I can't decide if it's bad or good being old........

Either way, you will die at some point.

I voted that they aren't all that different from each other. I am still the same person I was when I was young, but with more wisdom, experience... and a few added aches and pains. If I could be the me I am now and have a 20 year old body... of course I would... but only because I was a real lady killer back then. All in all, I'd rather be me now than me then. At 20, I would have never believed how little I actually knew about life.

RE: Old age
I had a Tango instructor teach me about the mindset in Argentinian society along with a whole bunch of stuff that only loosely tied in to dancing. He summed up their take on reality in one sentence, "Yesterday was better than today and tomorrow is going to be worse." At first I didn't get it but when you hold that ideal then you can appreciate Tango much better. I'm an optimist though so, I don't dance Tango anymore. /random

25-35 has been a good time for me but I am really starting to feel my age; I recover slower, and my reactions have slowed. I make up for these problems through my limited wisdom, but agree with Dotard's statement, "If I only knew then what I know now...."

Hey wait, Dotard, you are older than me; what should I know now? Smile

RE: Old age
Definitely a kidult here too.

I voted old = good. I'm 50, and it amuses me how I get respect for that sometimes. I only have to be with kids to realise it means little.

I think I should've had kids younger, and done everything younger, against my parents advice that there was 'plenty of time'. Life is for living.
