Well, not really. It does add a tinge of bias to assessments of if they're more rational or not. I'm sure what Dahmer was doing seemed perfectly rational in his mind but to the rest of humanity he was far from it.

In fact let me address that point again. I don't think whether someone's biased or not should affect your judgement of the issues raised by said person. This is just wrong to do, in general. Rather, we should only care about the facts and arguments presented.

Fair enough. Ignore my unsuported musings of this kind, if you like, but I would like you to address my suggestion that pleasure in and of itself is more like a device, or a means to an end, at least from nature's perspective, rather than an actual end.
