And You Can Bet That The Banks Want A Piece Of The Action, Too
http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/20...a-cos.html

Quote:The Senate introduced a bipartisan bill on Thursday that would prevent criminal prosecution as well as liability and asset forfeiture for banks that do business with a state-sanctioned marijuana business.
Sen. Michael Bennet, a Democrat, and Sen. Cory Gardner, a Republican, both of Colorado, announced the bill in a joint statement.
Last year, the Treasury Department said banks could serve the marijuana industry under certain conditions. Many banks call the guidelines too onerous, resulting in a marijuana industry that still relies heavily on cash. That reliance on cash rather than traditional banking methods has made marijuana dispensary operators robbery targets.

Courtesy of the CDC - side effects of marijuana

Quote:Among the known or suspected chronic effects of marijuana are:
  1. short-term memory impairment and slowness of learning.
  2. impaired lung function similar to that found in cigarette smokers. Indications are that more serious effects, such as cancer and other lung disease, follow extended use.
  3. decreased sperm count and sperm motility.
  4. interference with ovulation and pre-natal development.
  5. impaired immune response.
  6. possible adverse effects on heart function.
  7. by-products of marijuana remaining in body fat for several weeks, with unknown consequences. The storage of these by-products increases the possiblilties for chronic, as well as residual, effects on performance, even after the acute reaction to the drug has worn off. Of special concern are the long-term developmental effects in

These are the listed side effects for Viagra

Quote:
  • an erection that will not go away (priapism). If you have an erection that lasts more than 4 hours, get medical help right away. If it is not treated right away, priapism can permanently damage your penis.
  • sudden vision loss in one or both eyes. Sudden vision loss in one or both eyes can be a sign of a serious eye problem called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). Stop taking VIAGRA and call your healthcare provider right away if you have sudden vision loss in one or both eyes.
  • sudden hearing decrease or hearing loss. Some people may also have ringing in their ears (tinnitus) or dizziness. If you have these symptoms, stop taking VIAGRA and contact a doctor right away.
Other important information:
VIAGRA can help a man get and keep an erection when he becomes sexually stimulated. Individual results may vary. And it’s not right for everyone. Here are some other things you should know:
Do not take VIAGRA if you:
  • take any other medicines called nitrates, often prescribed for chest pain, as this may cause a sudden, unsafe drop in blood pressure.
  • are allergic to sildenafil, as contained in VIAGRA and REVATIO, or any of the ingredients in VIAGRA.
Discuss your health with your doctor to ensure that you are healthy enough for sex. If you experience chest pain, dizziness, or nausea during sex, seek immediate medical help.
The most common side effects of VIAGRA are:
  • headache
  • flushing
  • upset stomach
  • abnormal vision, such as changes in color vision (such as having a blue color tinge) and blurred vision
  • stuffy or runny nose
  • back pain
  • muscle pain
  • nausea
  • dizziness
  • rash
In addition, heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeat and death have happened rarely in men taking VIAGRA. Most, but not all, of these men had heart problems before taking VIAGRA. It is not known if VIAGRA caused these problems.
Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effect that bothers you or does not go away.
These are not all the possible side effects of VIAGRA. For more information, ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist.

Whenever I see a commercial for an antidepressant on TV, which all seem to have long lists of possible side effects, some of which seem quite unpleasant, I cannot help but think to myself that the way they work is that they give one something real to be depressed about, so that one's depression is then completely rational and justified.  If I had many of the side effects of such drugs, I would want to kill myself, too.

Before he left The Tonight Show, Jay Leno did a bit where all he did was run an ad for one of those drugs.  Underneath he had a timer.  Of the minute allotted, they spent 13 seconds talking about their product and 47 seconds giving the disclaimer for all the side effects.
