Nothing is free and actions have consequences. You are certainly free to financially support not-for-profit programs to distribute birth control, provide daycare, and educational out-reach. Likewise I am free to support institutions that provide adoption services, single mother assistance programs, and the like. People like The Little Sisters of the Poor shouldn’t be forced into buying stuff they do not want or need just to promote some government agenda. That type of compulsion is tyranny.
Besides for those who want it, birth control is relatively cheap.
Education in America is failing desperately. In Chicago, where I live, the public schools have been altering forms to pad the drop-out rate and altered test scores. I think there are much more important issues, like I don’t know, maybe READING. Sexuality, nutrition, money management and the like are, and should remain, personal and private family matters.

No one is forcing people to have sex yet, are they? I know I’ve never heard of anyone forcing women to have children. That is what is supposed to happen when people have sex. Babies are the normal, healthy, and natural consequence of sexual activity.
If it were me I would eliminate all the different social programs and create one Department of Charity. Get rid of all the social engineering restrictions and just give poor people money. They should get enough to secure their basic needs, food, shelter, medical care, etc. They can eat steak and Doritos or they can eat vegetables and rice, pocket the difference, and better themselves, like moving to a state where the cost of living is cheaper or get some job training or buying birth control. Or they can blow it on drugs and gambling. I believe in a free country where people, not bureaucrats and lawmakers, make their own decisions about what is best for them.

If PP is so enlightened now, then they should rename the Margaret Sanger award. You libs need to be consistent. If the Confederate flag* is racist, then so is praise and honor for Sanger.

*And yes the flag should go, not because it is racist but because they lost the war. It would be like flying the Imperial flag of Japan.

I guess you have never heard of rape. Many anti-abortion people are against abortions in the case of rape. So, yes, there are people who want other people to be forced to have children. You might be one of them.

Although some individuals will remain celibate until marriage, most people will not. When a woman gets pregnant and doesn't have the financial resources to care for the child, the rest of us pay for that child. The alternative is to let the child grow up in poverty which only perpetuates a very vicious cycle. In the long run, it makes financial sense to provide the mother with daycare so she can work and training so that she can find better paying employment. She can move off of welfare and out of dependency.  That is a win/win for everyone

The reason that Chad doesn't want to provide such services, even though they would prevent abortions by giving women more choices, is because he views sex before marriage as 'sinful' and worse than abortion. Like I wrote before, his goal isn't to protect fetuses but to make certain he knows which women to shame

I agree, but his story is still bullshit even on his terms.

Chad and his Republitard christian ilk really just want to tell poor women what to do with their bodies. They think the damned rib people deserve the pain of childbirth and the subjugation by men because of that stupid apple episode. The bible has no problem with killing babies as God does it often by his command, furthermore, according to most modern christian theologies the fetus goes straight to heaven - A good thing? Their lord promises perfect justice in the afterlife so there is no need to go after the mother or the doctors since sky daddy is going to do the perfect punishing better than man could ever do it, so why even push to make abortion illegal at all? It's not imaginary god's laws we are discussing but U.S. Laws.

Uh huh. Ok. I could be a Kantian or a Utilitarian and still disagree that a fetus constitutes a human being and that I have any duty to ensure its survival. So, you're wrong that one need be a nihilist to make a rational moral decision in my favor here.

Six year olds are not going to be able to focus if they don't have adequate nutrition. Children who have to cope with just surviving day to day are going to have a much harder time in school.

Again, individuals can decide to be celibate but, as a group, humans will find a way to have sex. I suppose you could segregate the sexes like they do in some Muslim countries but, such harsh methods, wouldn't be accepted in the United States. If you want to prevent abortion, the best way is to provide birth control, sex education and choices for women who end up pregnant. Do you know a reliable way to prevent horny people from having sex until they are ready for a child? I don't.

I've had sex waaa.....aaay more than four times but I only have four children. Birth control can prevent pregnancies so who says that people who have sex are supposed to have children? I'm 49, if I became pregnant, there is a possibility that it wouldn't be a normal, healthy consequence for me.
