Atheists: would proof of the resurrection matter to you?

RE: Atheists: would proof of the resurrection matter to you?
The idea that a being so powerful would feel the need to bully us is quite insulting to it, really.

Is that how you would spend your time, if you could do almost anything? Or would you be roller skating through space eating infinite tasting pizzas?

To me it would make no difference.

Whoops typo in the poll question. How do I change it?

On a personal level? No. It would raise some great scientific inquiries I'm sure but not personal ones. Why the hell would it matter to me if some 2000+ year old Jew rose from the grave?

Especially not when he said he would come soon. Then when he doesn't show up, the church changes the meaning of the word soon to mean whenever.

If you're going to say something that's meant for me, say it in my language, using words as I understand them. Otherwise, I figure you're not talking to me.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

Reminds me of when my cousin miscarried. The baby had developed to the point where she was required to get a death certificate for it. She said how can we get a death certificate when we don't even have a birth certificate?

Paul said that if there is no resurrection of the dead then Christ is not risen.  1 Corinthians 15:12-18.  Therefore other people should be resurrected all of the time, like those zombies that popped out of their graves when Jesus was crucified and went to visit their buddies in Jerusalem.  Now, based on your experience and the testimony of your relatives, friends, neighbors, and enemies, how many of them or you have ever seen anyone who was legitimately resurrected from the dead?

As for myself I may have loved people who have died but I don't want to see them as zombies.

Jesus said that he had been send only to the Jews so unless you are a Jew he wasn't talking to you.

Very few zombies. Although the face people sometimes pull when they look at me on the street makes me wonder if I'm a zombie though.
