As simple as that.  Indubitably

I know what disrespectful means, dipshit. It's not strictly the disrespect I'm addressing, but the fact that you've come onto the forum to spread assertions, failed to support them, and in lieu of supporting them instead spam smilies and condescending rhetoric. I find this indistinguishable from some of the Gaud-heads that get iced about 10 seconds into their first thread (and their 10 socks' first threads), which is why your continued presence here is such a mystery to me. What I'm saying (ALL I'm saying) is that you sound like an ignorant, preachy, belligerent Gaud-tard, and based on that I'm surprised your account isn't history. I am not making a moral claim or judgement, you ignorant cow-sniffing fuck.

Quote:Did i preach?
You show me one single time that i proposed to anyone here my belief (ananda marga).
The only time i point out what AM teach is when somebody ask me about my belief.
Usually is Jörmungandr that always try to dig in that topic.
So no, your accusation is crap.

Rik, the first, middle, and last thing you did in both this thread and the other one is assert (without supporting evidence) that reality is somehow permeated by an over-arching consciousness contained within everything, and that to deny this is unscientific and ignorant. You then failed to support this assertion, all the while belittling anyone who disagreed with you. Yes, that is preaching, and yes, that is exactly what you have been doing.

Quote:Wrong again beanie.
I am not the one who say.......THE CONSCIOUSNESS IS A PRODUCT OF THE BRAIN......and........THE CONSCIOUSNESS THAT WE GOT COME THANKS TO PREVIOUS GENERATION.....and......WE ONLY GOT OUR PHYSICAL SENSES......and......THE UNIVERSE STARTED WITH THE BIG BANG..........and and and
and more unsupported beliefs.  Smile

You ARE, however, the one who claims that every speck of matter in the Universe has consciousness, down to the atomic level. You also claim that consciousness can exist outside of brains (or living matter in general, for that matter). These are claims you have failed to support.

Quote:Sometime i came across someone who propose something interesting so no not all of you are stupid
otherwise i wouldn't be here to post.
The thing that i believe is stupid is to see people that think that physical science can answer question that are not physical.  Lightbulb

Whether or not matter is permeated by a Universal consciousness is a physical question because it involves matter and its properties.

Congratulations beanie.
I am glad that you do not argue over the fact that atheists make unsubstantiated assertion all the time.
Now you say that i failed to support the assertion that everything is permeate by an over-arching consciousness contained within everything.
Unfortunately you don't pay attention to what i keep on saying which is that to understand how all the system works you got to use the correct science.
Do you do that?
Of course not that is why you can not understand a thing.
Would you call an electrician to fix your water pipes or a plumber to fix your electrical wiring?
Are you so stupid to think that physical science can give an answer to what is not physical?
Are you beanie?
Now the last question.
You say.........Whether or not matter is permeated by a Universal consciousness is a physical question because it involves matter and its properties...........
Take uranium.
Why uranium is able to release energy?
If the matter is something dead why would uranium be active?
Where this wish to release energy come from?
Why a climber plant always try to move in better positions.
Why human being always try to be more happy?
Wake up beanie.
Can't you see that everything is on the move upwards?
So yes even matter is permeated with the feeling to go upwards and therefore it is clear that the consciousness within push her to follow the way up.  Lightbulb

Why are you ignoring the studies into NDE's little Prik, or the ones that state eating cooked meat doesn't increase aggressive behaviour?

Why would you do that little Prik?

Because it's radioactive, dipshit. We understand radioactivity, and it has practically nothing to do with life or consciousness. If you're going to invoke God of the Gaps, at least pick a phenomenon we don't understand so thoroughly.

Also, you've still failed to address SKH's study and I think he's getting antsy. Why would you ignore it? Is it because it fucks up your claims? It is, isn't it? Coward.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

The question is, what impact does this "none physical being"  have on the physical world. If it does not have an effect on the physical world then how do we know it is real if we can not test it and why should we care?
Again, it's the usual "absence of evidence".

You sort of presume that something non physical (if ever exist) does not have an effect on the physical world.
You're actually the one that said that (something about science not being able to test god because he is not physical)Science can however test something that has an effect on the physical world.
How did you come to such a conclusion?
How come then that carnivorous people are usually more aggressive than vegetarians?
Please back up that claim
Where aggressivity come from?
Define "aggressivity"
That is not something physical that can be passed in a physical way so we can deduce that is created in a non-physical way.
Most likely it has to do with hormones, which can be observed.
Some people wouldn't mind to live next to an abattoir while other people would keep far far away from it.
Depends on the reason and experience of the person.
There is attraction and repulsive feeling all over the universe.
Where it all come from?
Is this so important to know?
I don't think so.
What is important is to follow the scent of pure attraction especially when this attraction is universal in nature but again some people follow the wrong scent and here is where you got to be careful as behind the scent can hide the rot.
So yes, there is attraction all the time and the evidence is in the fact that everybody search for peace of mind and total happiness and from here i presume that there is someone that attract. Lightbulb

In the meantime can you show me the study you are talking about?  I'm all ears!

Knock yourself out.........then have a read:

Given that you have such a hard-on for NDE's, it is surprising that you know nothing about the worlds largest study into them.
Actually, it isn't surprising at all, that was a lie.

What can i say Sofa other than CRAP CRAP CRAP and more CRAP after reading your links.
I already explained in the past how the NDEs system works but considering that
you forgot or missed out i will explain once again.
Suppose you are God.
You are not a clown playing in the circus so you wouldn't do things that are made only for
making people laugh or sort out people problems preventing in this way the journey to discovering in the process from small to big.
You created a system in which your mental thought get metamorphosed into space, air, light and energy. water and matter to then see the opposite so from total latent or dormant consciousness into pure consciousness as the matter turn into vegetable life, animal life, human life and back into your pure consciousness.
Now if you as God would allow that consciousness in the form of matter, veg. life, animal or human life to bypass a single stage of this journey back to you then it would defeat the purpose of creation.
When these scientists do these experiments by ......... placing an image in a location that was hidden from normal view but could be viewed by a person floating above their body during an NDE......here we WOULD have a clear example of GOD reveal his presence and power defeating therefore the journey to discovering.
What would be the "FUN" so to speak if God would tell you where the gold nugget is hidden?
NDEs experiences can help few people that is why few of them are experiencing God but the majority
wouldn't benefit in any way.
Take many homeless and vagrants people.
You give them a house to live.
Most of them after a short while would be back in the street and many of  those who would stay would turn the place into a piggery so no it wouldn't work.
You got to let people grow by their own effort that is the only way to learn.
Scientists will never understand how the NDEs system works because they don't put themselves into GOD shoes (so to speak).
So no, those experiments will never succeed into understanding how the system works.  Lightbulb

That's very convenient for you, isn't it?

You know - you can't prove, that your mother doesn't entertain sailors for a living. You don't have a single piece of evidence that she doesn't/didn't. Hell - you may not even know about it, because what "FUN" would it be if your mother told you about everything, right? So that must mean - it's true. Consoling Sleepy

So how goes the breathing exercises, swami? Is it true you are flexible enough to insert your entire head in your ass? Don't mean to pry but we hear things and are curious. Thank you.

Yep, apparently at advanced levels of yoga, one can even do that. Little Rik is llike the posterchild of woo.

Of course he can do that. It's getting it out, that so far has proven to be impossible... Tongue
