Thank you, CL.

If you have any objection(s) to add, feel free.

What do you think of....

If God is real, then why does He stay "hidden"?

I used to struggle with this one, until I understood that if He was physically involved and present in our daily lives, many of us would ask Him for things all the time, and resent Him when anything went wrong in our lives, or if we didn't get what we wanted. It is better to just not believe than to resent and hate.

^At least that's my understanding of it. What's yours??

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Oooooh, no, I'm sorry, but we cannot accept that answer.

Please be more precise.

Of course, YOU cannot accept that as an answer.  You insist on your bullshit nonsense no matter what.  Never mind the fact that you post vast amounts of worthless verbiage; quantity is no substitute for quality.  You simply spam this site with your tripe and pretend that you have proven something.  Your nonsense is not sense, no matter how much of your nonsense you post.

You find that interesting?!!!  Huh

It's obviously copy pasted from some apologetic handout. I bet you anything he's already got his standard answers coming with it as well. It's also bullcrap on so many levels, since it assumes something that isn't exactly a hallmark or atheists. The belief that there actually is a god and not simply some people making all that shit up. Therefore the questions can be answered by people did it, people did it, people do it ad nauseam. Except the last question, which again is pure apologetic pleading.

It just goes to show you that too many atheists are too ready to listen to some silly Christian who is not quite as obnoxious as the usual ones who post here.

When you say "some silly Christian", are you referring to me, Pyrrho?

Also, the particular handout doesn't provide the premade answer to that.

A more relevant question might be:  If the Jews are God's chosen people and Jesus came only for the Jews why do Gentiles worship and believe in the Jewish deity?

Since Mohammed was the prophet to the desert Arabs why do non-Arabs care what he supposedly said about anything?

I have no idea where it's from.

But I still thought those were good questions. Those things he listed are all things that people struggle with, both theist and not. Shy

Some of the questions came from these sites:  http://wiki.ironchariots.org/index.php?t..._for_Faith

Many of you -do- ask "him" for things all of the time.  The hide and go seek bit clearly didn't work. Guess we can add that to the list of failures?

Oh, I'm sure it's the primary answer for atheists.  I do object to some things about Christianity, but if that were my problem with god, I'd find another god, there are plenty to choose from.

As to what evidence:  no evidence physical evidence whatsoever; no demonstrative evidence (evidence which can be shown by one person to another) except the written word and personal stories; no real modern miracles.  In short, nothing of note.  And given that lack of evidence, why bother about any other objections to god, except those that cause believers to behave badly.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
